The Dixie Divers Instructor Academy was developed to cater to your specific needs and goals. The Dixie Divers Instructor Academy’s purpose is to offer the highest quality educational programs available anywhere, affordable to each individual wishing to join the growing SCUBA industry. The programs cover Entry Level through Dive Instructor as well as continuing education leading to the industries coveted professional rating of Master Instructor. Our D.D.I.A. Industry Career Track has been devised to develop the diving professional, regardless of your present level of certification. PADI courses leading to the Instructor Development Course (IDC) include Advanced Open Water, Emergency First Response, Rescue, and Divemaster. Once you have completed your IDC, you will be able to attend the PADI Instructor Evaluation (IE). Upon successful completion of the evaluation you will receive the prestigious PADI Instructor Rating.

To enhance your career opportunities, D.D.I.A. offers post IDC vocational training for you. During the Continuing Education Series we suggest that you become an Emergency First Response Instructor, DAN O2 Provider and work towards a Master Scuba Diver Trainer rating. Master Scuba Diver Trainer programs consist of 5 PADI Instructor Specialties of your choice. We will, of course, counsel you as to which specialties best fit your goals and specific needs. You can further increase your dive industry marketability and professionalism by completing a Nitrox Instructor Program.

Once enrolled in the Dixie Divers Instructor Academy, a PADI Instructor Development center, we will help you obtain your Professional Instructor goals. Because of our commitment to professional instruction and the proper development of PADI Instructors, PADI will permit you to attend our academy regardless of your present level of certification and /or experience. Only after attending an IDC will you be permitted to complete your Instructor Evaluation.

A qualified Course Director is available to answer any questions you may have, whether it is obtaining financial aid, participating in vocational rehabilitation, or filing out the proper forms for veteran training. The Dixie Divers Instructor Academy is approved for veterans’ training and can assist you in custom tailoring your program.
