          ARILTON PAVAN is of Italian heritage, born in Brazil  but having spent a third of his life as an American. Pavan, as his friends call him, was born in a small city called Criciuma located in the state of Santa Catarina  in Brazil, where he attended college for a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education and Post-graduation focusing on education.

                            Pavan lived in North Providence, Rhode Island (USA) for 8 years where Pavan went to College for Respiratory Therapist  at Rhode Island College. Something was missing thou, since leaving Brazil and diving the north east coast for so long he needed to heed the call for blue clear water. So after traveling up and down Florida's East Coast trying to decided where the best diving was and then where the best spot for a store would be he decided to move to Deerfield Beach ,Florida. So Pavan could pursue a passion that has always been with him. "Owning a Dive Store is a passion that has been  with me since I was 16,  that was when I started to dive in Brazil. I chose to live in Deerfield Beach because in my opinion this area has some of the best dives in Florida."  

            Having received his first Instructor rating in 1994 Pavan has continued his education in many aspects of this industry from learning technical diving to taking courses that now enable him to teach semi-closed rebreathers so he can share this sport in a whole new way to his customers. After 7 years in Florida Pavan has been diving all over the state. Today, he is a PADI  COURSE DIRECTOR the highest rating one can achieve from PADI denoting special training and a commitment to quality education. Having been instructing over 10 years with over 1000 certifications just shows his commitment and dedication and with over 3000 dives having a great time teaching over 20 specialty courses he is really enjoying himself. With Pavan reaching the rating of Course Director we will now be teaching Instructors through  Dixie Divers Instructor Academy his latest addition to the services of Dixie Divers. Also Diversion Charters  M/V Lady Go Diver  has been joined with the rest of our offerings.

But without friends to go dive with no matter how good you are it's not fun if you can not share the moments with your dive buddies and as founder of the American Brazilian Dive Club with over 280 members if you don't have a buddy to go dive with we can find someone for you or just come with Pavan and let him show you the wonders of this area.
